Capturing aerial imagery of your commercial property with a drone is an easier and more streamlined process than ever before.
Realtors, property owners, and numerous other key stakeholders are now using aerial images and video to showcase their properties, the surroundings, and any additional or special features from above.
In this article, we break down DroneBase’s current Commercial Real Estate offerings in detail, share helpful tips, provide examples in the DroneBase customer dashboard, and explain how each offering can be used to capture the best commercial real estate drone photography possible for your needs.
A panorama is a fantastic way to showcase your property from one particular location while providing multiple angles and perspectives. Often captured from in front of the building or property, panoramas give an interactive 360-degree view of the location and the neighboring properties. With the DroneBase panorama, you have the ability to zoom in and out, click and drag, and pause the rotation as needed to get the best angle of your property.
Helpful Tip: If you’d like the panorama captured from a specific location, please be sure to note that in the special instructions field (located in the order flow) for our Operations team. Otherwise, the panorama will be captured from the front of the property or building as we’ve found this leads to the best results.
The Images Package is one of the most popular packages amongst DroneBase real estate customers. The package includes approximately 15 high-resolution aerial images captured at various angles and from multiple altitudes. The fundamental structure for these images is the Cardinal and Inter-cardinal directions (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW). Imagine a compass with your property at the center. Cardinal direction images require the pilot to take their drone to different points on the compass and shoot the property from those different angles.
Helpful Tip: We’re excited to announce the release of Photo Enhancement for only $30. With Photo Enhancement, one of our experienced editors will improve the appearance of your images with light color-correction applied to your shots.
The Starter Package, similar to the Images Package, includes 15 high-resolution images in addition to 5 high-definition video clips. The set of 15 images follows a similar structure to what is provided in the Images Package, but what really sets this package apart is the assorted video clips.
DroneBase provides the pilot with a set of required video clips that has been refined over time to fit our customers’ needs. Included in the package are lower altitude video clips designed to focus on the property from a lower perspective, providing the detail you may need to point out specific amenities or selling points. Also included are video clips captured from an increased altitude with the purpose of showcasing the property, its surroundings, and any points of interest (for example a golf course or body of water).
Helpful Tip: DroneBase requires a property outline for our Operations team and the pilot to reference. We strongly suggest you only outline the building or property that is the primary focus as DroneBase pilots are instructed to capture the horizon in frame (showcasing surroundings) as a basic requirement.
The Pro Package is another one of DroneBase’s most popular packages. This package includes the unedited images and video clips provided in the Starter Package as well as a 60-second edited video with branding, captions, contact info, and music. Our customers have found that the 60-second edited video is a powerful selling tool that captures the details and amenities of the property while also providing a contextual view of the surrounding area and potential points of interest.
Helpful Tip: Upon placing an order for a Pro Package, you will receive an email confirmation that the order has been placed. At the bottom of this email is a set of instructions provided by our Production team requesting the information needed to create the edited video including your logo, contact info, text captions, etc.
